White, and to this union, four children were born, namely; Avalon now Mrs. Wilfred Craig, Herschel M., who is with the Marines, on Okinawa, Laura Belle and Dolores, at home.

Mr. Moore was a kind and loving husband, an indulgent father and a good neighbor, truly a good man has gone to his reward.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday afternoon at 2:30 at Providence Church by Rev. Wayne Kurtz, of Vandalia.

A quartette composed of Glenn Billings, Elza Gamm, Mrs. Frank E. Gamm, Mrs. Maidee Williams, very ably sang, “Beautiful Isle of Somewhere, and “Going Down The Valley.” Mrs. Esther Slater sang “Saved by Grace” by special request. The following men acted as pallbearers, John W. Parsons, Elmer Edwards, John Shannon, F. C. Gamm, nephews in-law and Raymond Garnm and Alfred Shannon, great nephews of the deceased.

Admidst [sic] a large concourse of friends and relatives he was laid to rest in Bethany cemetery, under a blanket of beautiful flowers.

Sunset and evening star,
And one clear call for me,
And may there be no moaning at the bar,
When I put out to sea,
Twilight and evening bell,
And after that the dark,
And may there be no sadness of farewell,
When I at last embark.
