Vandalia - Aug. 12, 1924-Feb. 14, 2004 

VANDALIA - Mollie L. Price, 79, of rural Vandalia, died Saturday, Feb. 14, 2004, at her home south of Vandalia.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 17, at Waters Funeral Chapel in Vandalia. The Rev. Kenneth Jarvis will officiate. Burial will be at Vandalia Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Price was born Aug. 12, 1924, in rural Vandalia to Howard Lee and Minnie L. Kohl Haught.

She was married to Billy Joe Price in Middletown. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include one daughter, Marie E. Haught of Columbia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by one sister, Louise Livingston.

Mrs. Price was a 1943 graduate of Vandalia High School and lived in rural Vandalia most of her life. She had worked for the Treasury Department and as bookkeeper for White Lumber in Vandalia. She retired in 1987 as a supervisor at the garment factory in Wellsville.

She enjoyed raising livestock, flowers, gardening, quilting and genealogy as hobbies.

Memorials may be made to the Pike County Genealogical Society.
