Pike County Query

I'm looking for information about Thomas William Beedle from Pince Williams, VA. Hi first wife, Sarah died before 1871. In his second marriage, he was married (in VA) to Mary Unknown who died 22 Apr 1858 in Ashley, Pike Co., MO. I have not personally found any documents to verify her death. Thomas married a third time to Nancy McDonald. Thomas son, John Wesley is my great grandfather. He married Janie James. I have no idea where Thomas lived, worked, or when and where he died, but the family continued to live in Pike Co., and Montgomery Co., Missouri

Pike County Query

I am searching for Lucinda/Lurinda Groom who married Peter Anson, MAYBE married a Samuel Crow and married Peter Anson's brother, Francis Anson, when Peter died of cholera epidemic in Johnsons Grove, Lafayette County, MO in 1839/40. Peter is buried under the City Lake in Higginsville, MO.-supposedly. Lucinda's parents were Moses Groom and Ruth Griffith/Griffeth. Lucinda was born either 1817 or 1834 in Bourbon County, KY. and died 23 Nov 1862, maybe in Van Buren Co., Iowa. I believe she married Peter 1 Sept 1831 in Pike MO. She had 7 children with Peter and 4(one died young) with Francis. I do not know about a Samuel Crow as a possible 2nd husband as one reference suggests. I need to have Peter and Lucinda/Lurinda's PROOFS of births, deaths and marriage as one of their children, William Coliver Anson, is my great grandfather and I need the information to join USDaughters of 1812. Can anyone help me?

Pike County Query

Seeking info on Nicholas Grimmett, who was married to Peggy (Cox). They were both from Virginia, and are listed in the 1850 Pike County, Missouri Federal Census. I believe Nicholas died in 1859 and Peggy died in 1872, both in Pike County. Does anyone have ANY info on either (or both) of these people? They are my relatives. Thank you!!! John Cox Greensboro, NC

Pike County Query

There is an Edward Stone in your 1870 census. Its for Pike co. MO. Spencer Township @ the Curryville post office. I was wondering what information that you may have on this man. I think he could be my Edward from Ozark Co. and was missing in that 1869 census. He joined the malitia and his wife signed as a widow in 1880, but didn't file for a pension until 1890? Any information would be appreciated; death, obit, burial???? thank you.
