Found Dead in Bed Albert Buchanan was found dead in bed at his home Friday morning following a heart attack which occurred some time in the night. The body was removed to the Carroll funeral parlor where services were conducted Saturday afternoon by the Rev. Chester Hensley. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery. Pallbearers were J. Tucker Mackey, Jim Cooper, Clarence Thomas, Chalmers Thurmond, Charles Pannell, and Howard Reneau. Mr. Buchanan was a son of the late Felix and Mary Buchanan and was born near Steeleville, Mo., April 12, 1867. He came with his parents to Clarksville at an early age and the remainder of his life spent here. He has been engaged in the grocery and restaurant business until a few years ago. He married in 1900 to Miss Ella Shaw and they were the parents of a daughter Nellie Marie, who died in infancy. He was a member of the Christian church. He is survived by his wife, a brother Felix Buchanan and a half brother Robert E. Ferguson, all of this city. |
