Matilda Baxter Chamberlain

Mrs. Matilda Chamberlain, wife of T. F. Chamberlain, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. L. Lyons, Thursday, November 25, at the age of 77 years and 7 days. "Aunt Til" as she was affectionately called, by old and young, -- was a lovely Christian character, a true wife, tender and devoted mother, and a sympathetic friend. Her delight was in the law of God, and His promises. She was loved and honored by all, and her death is a great loss to the church and community. Funeral services were conducted at the Christian Church by Elder Stout, of Bowling Green. Interment in church cemetery...Mrs. Sallee, of Illinois, and Mrs. Rosa Boyd, of near Louisiana, attended the funeral of their sister, Mrs. Chamberlain Saturday...Bland Shepherd and wife, Mrs. Tish Shepherd, Mrs. Harry Brown, C. A. Lyter and wife, Jim, Will, Misses Susie and Kathleen Chamberlain all of Bowling Green, and John Boyd, of Louisiana, attended Mrs. T. F. Chamberlain's funeral Saturday

W. E. Chamberlain, of Roswell, N.M., arrived here Sunday to be at the bedside of his mother, Mrs. T. F. Chamberlain; who died Thursday...Mrs. Matilda Chamberlain, wife of T. F. Chamberlain, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. L. Lyons, Thursday, November 25, at the age of 77 years and 7 days.
