BOWLING GREEN - Donna J. Darnell, 63, of Bowling Green, died Monday, Sept. 6, 2004, at Pike County Memorial Hospital in Louisiana. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, at First Presbyterian Church of Bowling Green. The Rev. Andrew O'Dowd will officiate. The body was cremated and burial will be at Vandalia Cemetery. Kirks Funeral Chapel in Bowling Green is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Darnell was born Friday, June 27, 1941, in Vandalia to Ralph D. and Erna Young Smith. Survivors include her husband, Marvin Darnell of Bowling Green; one son, David Darnell and wife, Rhonda, of Clarksville; two daughters, Cristy Wheeler and husband, Chris, of Eolia, and Cindy Perkins and husband, Donald, of Bowling Green; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her mother of Vandalia; three sisters, Patsy Lynn, Betty Bontz and Helen Stinnett, all of Vandalia; and one brother, Ralph Smith Jr. of Vandalia. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church of Bowling Green.
