Della M. Hays

Burial was held Sunday, May 23 at New Hartford-Keith Cemetery for Mrs. Della M Hays of Venice, Fla., formerly of Pike County, near New Hartford. Mrs. Hays, 100 years of age, died Nov.30, 1998 at her home in Venice.

She was born Nov, 27, 1898 to William J and Lillian Reid Moore. Mrs. Moore (sic) moved from Milwaukee, Wis., 19 years ago to Venice, Fla., where she had since lived. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

She was married to Clarence William (Bill) Hays who died 13 June 13, 1969.

She was, also, preceded in death by two daughters, Bonnie Wilde and Nellie Cloe Morse (sic): two brothers, Grover Moore and Everett Moore; and a sister, Edna Mabry.

Survivors are a daughter, Evelyn Kennedy of Venice, Fla., two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; and a brother. William J Moore of Rockport, Texas.

Kirks Funeral Chapel in Bowling Green was in charge of local arrangements.

Contrary to what the obituary states, daughter Nellie Cloe Morse did not predecease her mother, but is alive as of 2006.
Della Motley Moore was born 27 Nov 1898 in Pike Co MO to William Jordan SR and Lillian Reid Moore.
She died 30 Nov 1998, nearly 100 yrs old in Venice, Florida
On 26 Aug 1917 she was married to Clarence William Hays at New Hartford, Pike Co MO. The couple had three daughters: Evelyn June Hays, Bonnie Bernice Hays and Nellie Chloe Hays.
