Samuel Johnson

Samuel Johnson died at the Soldiers' Home in Leavenworth, Kan., January 4, 1915, and the funeral was preached at George Calvert's January 7 by Rev. P. L. Christmas, after which the body was laid to rest in the Big Creek cemetery. Mr. Johnson was 76 years old. He leaves a wife and two grandsons, Willie and Wilbur Henderson, four sisters, Mrs. Fannie Noel, Mrs. Maggie Noel, Mrs. Amanda Jefferies and Mrs. Alice Warner and one brother, Jim Johnson, and a host of friends to mourn his loss.
