Grover H. Moore, 92

Grover H Moore, 92, of New London died at 7 p.m. Monday, May 13, 1985 at Beth Haven Nursing Home in Hannibal where he had resided the past two years.

Services for Mr. Moore were held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Chapel in Hannibal with the Rev Jay Stinson of New London officiating. Burial was in Grand View Burial Park.

He was born Oct 7, 1892 in Pike County, MO., the son of the late W. J. and Lillian Reid Moore, He was married Dec. 24, 1911 to Bessie Belle Strador. She died Jan. 28, 1965.

Mr. Moore had farmed in the New Hartford area in his earlier years before moving to a farm east of New London where he continued farming until his retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in New London; and a member of the IOOF Lodge at Frankford.

He is survived by a son, Ray H. Moore of New London. a daughter, Mrs. Naomi B Fisher of Bowling Green; four grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Everett Moore of New Hartford and William J. Moore of Rockport, TX.; and a sister, Mrs. Della M. Hays of Tequesta, FLA. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Edna Mabry.

Pallbearers were Cleve Snodgrass, Jim Stephens, Frank Tucker, Harry Martindale, George Birkhead and Russell Ketsenburg.
