Everett Moore

Services for Everett Wells Moore, 93, of New Hartford were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Kirks Funeral Chapel in Bowling Green with the Rev. Hugh Ash of Montgomery City officiating. Burial was in New Hartford Cemetery. Masonic services were held Sunday evening at the funeral home, conducted by Nineveh Lodge, No. 473, Olney with Luther Hudson, Bill Haines and Bill Worrell participating.

Mr. Moore died Sept. 16, 1988, in Smith-Barr Manor, Louisiana, where he had resided for several months.

He was born Nov. 30, 1894, in New Hartford, the son of the late William Jordon and Lillian Reed Moore. He received his education at New Haretford School and Pike College and had been a farmer in the New Hartford area before retiring. He was married to Nellie Hays who preceded him in death Sept. 16, 1969.

Mr. Moore was a member of New Hartford Baptist Church, the Olney Masonic Lodge and was a 32 degree Mason.

Surviving are a son, Everett Wells Moore Jr. of Cornville, Ariz.; three grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Della Hays of Venice, Fla.; and a brother, William Moore of Bowling Green. He was preceded in death by a brother, Grover Moore; and one sister, Edna Mabry.

Pallbearers were Cecil Wells harness, Joe Trower, Wiley D. Trower, Roger Moore, David Thompson and Aubrey Morrison.

He died 16 Sept 1988 in Louisiana MO , 93 yrs , which was on the same date, 19 yrs later as his wife, Nellie Chloe Hays Moore.
