The grave of William Patterson was marked on November 25, 1934 during Mrs. Kittley Dalton Henry's Administration. It is located on the west side of the Louisiana-Eolia Road, between Dover and Aberdeen. A sketch of his life and his Revolutionary War service was given by his great great granddaughter, Miss Eileen Dawson of Eolia. Two of his great great great grandchildren, Jane and Lucille Knock of Eolia unveiled the monument. Dorothy Dawson R. R. Eolia. MO. "Press Journal" may have news of this event.
